Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of Kobbokkom Company (the “Company”) and users of Kobbokkom Forum (the “Service”).

Article 2 (Service Scope)

  1. The Service provides a public forum and related pages for reading and searching posts and comments.
  2. Members who sign in may create, edit, and delete posts, create and manage comments, like posts, and manage a nickname.
  3. A member may choose a Bugs, Improvements, or Features category and an optional related app when creating a post. Post bodies may be written in Markdown.
  4. Private posts are shown only to their authors and administrators. Private posts and their comments may be processed by authorized operators when necessary for service operation, legal obligations, security investigations, or dispute handling.
  5. The Service uses Google account authentication. Before sign-in, users may use public Service pages and public posts only.

Article 3 (Effect and Changes)

  1. These Terms take effect when posted on the Service.
  2. The Company may change these Terms within applicable law and will announce the changes and effective date at least 7 days before the effective date.
  3. A change that is adverse to users or materially affects their rights or obligations will be announced at least 30 days before the effective date and, where practicable, through reasonable Service notices.

Article 4 (Membership and Sign-In)

  1. A member reviews and agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy on the sign-in screen before continuing with Google sign-in.
  2. The Company uses a verified email address and account identifier received from Google to identify a member and manages a Service nickname. A member may change the nickname through an available Service feature.
  3. Members must protect their Google account and Service access. The Company may take action for misuse caused by a member’s intent or negligence in accordance with applicable law and these Terms.

Article 5 (Member Responsibilities)

Members must not:

  1. Violate law, public order, or these Terms;
  2. Infringe another person’s personal information, copyright, reputation, or other rights;
  3. Use another person’s account or impersonate the Company or another person;
  4. Post spam, malware, illegal information, or content that threatens Service security;
  5. Disrupt normal Service operation or evade post, comment, or like limits; or
  6. Post content they are not authorized to publish or disclose another person’s private information.

Article 6 (User Content)

  1. Rights in posts and comments remain with their authors.
  2. Members grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use posts and comments only as necessary to provide, store, transmit, display, back up, handle reports, and protect the Service.
  3. Public posts and comments may be shown to other users according to their selected visibility. Private posts are displayed and processed only within the scope described in Article 2(4).
  4. Members must check personal information and third-party rights in content before posting. The Company may limit visibility or remove content for legal, reporting, security, or operational reasons.

Article 7 (Reports and Measures)

  1. The Company may review content based on a report or its own detection of a possible violation.
  2. Depending on the nature and urgency of a violation, the Company may limit visibility, remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate the Service agreement.
  3. Where practicable, the Company will provide the reason and a contact method. Advance notice or detailed disclosure may be limited to prevent urgent harm, comply with confidentiality duties, or protect security.

Article 8 (Service Suspension and Changes)

  1. The Company may temporarily suspend or restrict all or part of the Service due to maintenance, failure, network, power, or external-service disruption, disaster, government action, or another circumstance reasonably beyond its control.
  2. Planned suspensions will be announced in advance where practicable. Urgent or unavoidable suspensions may be announced afterward.
  3. To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for an interruption or delay caused by a circumstance reasonably beyond its control. This does not exclude losses caused by the Company’s intent or gross negligence or liability that cannot be limited by law.

Article 9 (Sign-Out, Withdrawal, and Deletion)

  1. A member may end the current browser session by signing out.
  2. A member may request withdrawal or deletion of personal information through the Service’s stated contact channel. The Company will verify the requester and check legal retention requirements before processing the request.
  3. After withdrawal or deletion, public posts and comments shared with other users may remain with author identifiers removed to preserve conversation context and the rights of other users. Private posts, account links, sessions, and operational records are deleted or retained separately according to their purpose and retention requirements.

Article 10 (Operational Records and Notifications)

  1. The Service may process minimum usage records to limit excessive repetition of posts, comments, and likes and to protect security.
  2. If new-post email notifications are enabled in the production environment, a post’s title, body, author nickname, category, app, and creation time may be sent to an email delivery service and a designated operational recipient as needed to deliver the notification.

Article 11 (Liability)

  1. The Company’s liability is governed by applicable law.
  2. The Company does not guarantee continuous or error-free Service operation, or the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of information entered by users.
  3. To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for losses caused by a user’s responsibility or a circumstance reasonably beyond the Company’s control.

Article 12 (Contact and Dispute Resolution)

  1. Rights reports, privacy requests, and account or content moderation inquiries may be submitted through a private Service post or [email protected].
  2. The Company handles inquiries under applicable law and its internal procedures.
  3. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Jurisdiction follows the procedures prescribed by applicable law.
